Child & Youth Counselling Services

One-on-one counselling for youth is available through our Network agencies to help you navigate the unique challenges of this transitional age, whether it is a mental health challenge or issues with parents, peers, or people at school.

Child and Youth Counselling Ontario

What can we help with?

If you think talking with a counsellor could help & that’s reason enough to book a session. These are some of the reasons youth come to us:

Children

While children are welcome to attend a youth counselling session as a client, there are some restrictions for younger ages. Please see your local agency for details.

Non-client children are not permitted to be in the room at someone else’s individual session, and not all Network agencies provide child-minding services. Please see your local agency for details and plan ahead.

Client Rights & Responsibilities

At The Hope Counselling Network, we foster a culture of mutual respect and inclusivity where everyone feels safe and valued. We do not tolerate discriminatory or aggressive behaviours and expect all clients, staff, volunteers, and partners to contribute to this positive environment. In accessing counselling services, clients understand that a failure to uphold this culture of respect may result in termination of service.

What to expect?

Our counsellors are trained to welcome you to your local agency, put you at ease, and lead you through your session. They listen without judgment and work collaboratively with you to achieve your goals.
