Couples Counselling Services
Couples counselling is available through our Network agencies to help address and resolve challenges that may occur in relationships.
- This is not a crisis service. Dial 9-8-8 for the Suicide Crisis Helpline or 9-1-1 for Emergencies
What can we help with?
If you think talking with a counsellor could help your relationship, that’s reason enough. These are some of the reasons couples come to us:
- Developing emotional closeness with your partner
- Understanding your partner; their thoughts, feelings and behaviors
- Building effective communication
- Resolving conflict and turning conflict into productive conversations
- Managing relationship issues when there are significant differences
- Coming to terms with and moving beyond affairs
- Parenting together, even when you disagree
- Deepening and strengthening an already solid relationship
Children
Children are not permitted to be in the room at someone else’s individual session, and not all Network agencies provide child-minding services. Please see your local agency for details and plan ahead.
Client Rights & Responsibilities
At The Hope Counselling Network, we foster a culture of mutual respect and inclusivity where everyone feels safe and valued. We do not tolerate discriminatory or aggressive behaviours and expect all clients, staff, volunteers, and partners to contribute to this positive environment. In accessing counselling services, clients understand that a failure to uphold this culture of respect may result in termination of service.
What to expect?
Our counsellors are trained to welcome you both to your local agency, put you at ease, and lead you through your session. They listen without judgment and work collaboratively with you to achieve your goals.
How do I get started?
Our counselling services are easy to access. After finding the best counselling agency for you, all you need to do is reach out and book your first appointment.
